Arsenal’s mentor Unai Emery said that the only January recruit, Denis Suarez, was in poor shape and needed training.

To loan Suarez from Barcelona until the end of the season is all the gain that the Gunners managed to get in the winter. The former ward of Emery at Sevilla has already managed to make his debut for his new club, appearing as a substitute against Manchester City over the past weekend.

Emery says that Denis has spent only a few days with the team and not yet adapted, so his 25 minutes on Sunday he played poorly.

This week, Emery claims, he worked according to an individual program. Though, he has already felt better than last week.

The boss hopes he will continue to improve every day, and then he will be able to show that he can be more useful for the team
in the next matches than he was against Manchester City.
