Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne runs the risk of missing a crucial match for his team against Liverpool next Thursday.

The current champion of the Premier League will converge with the current leader of the league in their first match in 2019. This match will be an opportunity for the Citizens to reduce their backlog from the top of the table.

However, City risk to hold this important match without De Bruyne, the Daily Mirror reports in an exclusive material. The fact is that Kevin, who suffered two serious knee injuries earlier this season, is worried about some muscle pain.

De Bruyne, who took part in every of the previous four matches of his club and even scored a goal against Leicester, won’t play against Southampton on Sunday as a precaution, but that doesn’t guarantee that Kevin will recover to the match against the Reds.
