Real’s number one Thibaut Courtois named Liverpool’s Alisson Becker among the Top 3 best goalkeepers in the world, ignoring David De Gea from Manchester United.

United’s head coach Jose Mourinho called De Gea the best goalkeeper in the world twice during this week – after the match against Young Boys and at a press conference.

Though, former Mourinho’s goalkeeper at Chelsea doesn’t agree with this opinion. Courtois gives his preference to other performers, however, Thibaut doesn’t consider himself as one of the best keepers in the world.

The Belgian called three best goalkeepers in the world from his point of view, namely, Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Barcelona, Jan Oblak from Atletico and Liverpool’s Alisson.

Nevertheless, Courtois finds it difficult to answer which of them is the best one. It depends on many factors and most often it is about defence. Therefore, according to statistics, Oblak may seem better than ter Stegen since Atletico’s defensive line is much better than Barcelona’s.
