Leicester head coach Claude Puel warned Manchester United about Harry Maguire and urged his neighbour in the Premier League’s standings not to waste their time trying to entice the defender in the middle of the season.

In August, an authoritative edition of Sky Sports reported that the club from Old Trafford had made two offers to buy Maguire, the second one valued at £60 million, but it was refused both times.

It was also reported that Harry was interested in the transfer to Trafford, however, the Foxes flatly refused to enter into negotiations. As a result, the England national team’s player understood his club’s position and received a new contract in September.

As January approaches, rumors emerged that United would return for 25-year-old Maguire, but Puel doesn’t expect his club’s position to change, as Harry is happy in the team, he has excellent teammates and he sees the future in this project.

Leicester did a good job in the transfer market last season and retained their leader Mahrez until the end of the championship. Puel doesn’t plan to enter the transfer market in winter as he completely satisfied with the players he has.
