Claude Puel could be fired on New Year’s Eve
Leicester head coach Claude Puel may receive a New Year gift in the form of his dismissal.
The Foxes are going through a difficult period at the moment, having won only one of the last six Premier League matches and been knocked out from the League Cup in the middle of the week, when they lost to Manchester City in a penalty shoot-out.
As the Daily Mail has learned, Puel’s relations with the players and the club’s staff have reached their bottom during this time. There are significant disagreements regarding the choice of starting line-up, style, tactics inside the team.
Puel was under threat of dismissal at the end of last season. Even then, it was rumored that discontent with Claude’s methods was ripening in the locker room. Since then, the situation has only worsened, but more or less stable results saved the coach.
After leaving for Chelsea today, Leicester will play against Manchester City on Boxing Day and against Cardiff on December 29th. It is expected that the outcome of these matches will be decisive for the French specialist’s future at King Power.
The decision about Puel should be taken by Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, who became the main person at Leicester after the tragic death of his father Vishay in October.
