The Citizens are ready to part with defender Benjamin Mendy.

The French performer missed almost the entire past season due to injury.

Mendy was injured again due to knee problems on November and will be out of action for three months.

According to Tuttosport, this situation does not suit either the mentor of City, Josep Guardiola, or the club management.

So, the Blue Moon will try to sell Mendi. Manchester’s club paid 58 million euros for the 24-year-old defender in the summer of 2017.

Moreover, the EPL champions may not play in the next draw of the UCL.

Manchester City can pay for the violations made four years ago. Earlier, the German magazine Spiegel reported that the club violated the rules of FFP for €188 mill. three years ago.
