City are close to signing Bruno Fernandes

The Citizens are negotiating with Sporting Lisbon midfielder.

Sporting’s midfielder Bruno Fernandes is close to moving to Manchester City, A Bola reported.

City want to strengthen their middle in the summer transfer window and intend to acquire the Portuguese midfielder. In the near future, the club’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, is due to meet with Sporting representatives to discuss details of the deal for the 24-year-old player.

Bruno Fernandes has been playing for Sporting since 2017, moving from Sampdoria.

Recall, Manchester City defender Nicholas Otamendi does not intend to remain in the team for the next season, but wants to change the club in order to have regular match practice, Goal reported.
