Parma’s defender Bruno Alves extended his contract with the team. According to the official website of the Italian club, a new agreement with the football player is calculated until 2020.

It was reported earlier that the Portuguese was close to the transfer to Juventus. The defender could get some playing time at the Turin club, as Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini were injured. The Crusaders valued the player at €1.5 million, but the deal fell through.

37-year-old Alves joined Parma last summer when he moved to the Italian club from Rangers for free. He took part in 20 Serie A matches of the current season, in which he netted two goals.
