Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva dispelled rumors that had been connecting him with a move to Barcelona.

Bernardo scored seven goals and gave the same number of assists in 34 Premier League matches of the current season. Silva is a key figure of the team, so there is nothing accidental in the fact that he entered the short list of nominees for the Player of the Year according to the Professional Football Players Association (PFA).

Meanwhile, rumors appeared in the press that Barcelona were showing interest in the 24-year-old Portuguese, acquired by City from Monaco for 43 million pounds in 2017, but Bernardo himself doesn’t attach any importance to it.

According to him, he doesn’t think about these rumors at all. He recently signed a new contract with City and after the end of this season, he will have another 3 years to prove his class. In addition, Silva is absolutely happy in Pep Guardiola’s team.
