Sunday’s meeting with Girona became the jubilee for Real Madrid’s forward. Forward Karim Benzema played his 300th Real Madrid match in the Primera.

The forward came on the field in Los Blancos’ starting line-up for today’s match against Girona in the 24th round of LaLiga, but failed to distinguish himself with a goal or assist.

Benzema became the second Frenchman in history, who reached this mark, after Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann who has 308 matches.

In total, the 31-year-old player managed to score 137 goals and make 83 assists in LaLiga. The striker won the champions title twice with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid opened the score, but conceded two goals from Girona in the second half, thus lost the match at Santiago Bernabéu with a 1:2 score.
