Bayern lead the fight for Chelsea’s young striker Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi is one of the brightest products of not only the Blues’ academy but of all English football. Last season, Callum helped Chelsea U-18 team to make historic poker. In addition, the attacker managed to achieve some success at the international level.

At Stamford Bridge, they highly value their youngster, but head coach Maurizio Sarri was able to provide 18-year-old Hudson-Odoi with only two matches in the starting line-up in this season.

The lack of playing time gives rise to Callum’s doubts about the new contract with Chelsea – and, at the same time, attracts the attention of other clubs, including from outside of England.

As it became known to the Goal, Bayern Munich are the main contenders for Hudson-Odoi at the moment, although Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Real Madrid are also showing interest in the English junior.

It is reported that Bayern presented a clear plan for Hudson-Odoi about his integration into the first team. Bundesliga’s champions have high hopes for Callum in light of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben’s approaching retirement.

Hudson-Odoi’s current contract expires in 18 months. Initially, the Blues hoped to incline Callum to a new deal by January, but a series of proposals from abroad might induce the player not to hurry with a decision regarding his future.
