Batshuayi will return to Chelsea at the end of the season
Striker Michy Batshuayi is likely to return to Chelsea from Crystal Palace at the end of this season.
Unable to prove himself at Valencia in the first half of this season, in the second half, Batshuayi went to Palace, where he established himself as Roy Hodgson team’s main player. Michy took part in nine Premier League matches and scored two goals.
However, the two London clubs’ loan agreement doesn’t provide any buy-out option. The Eagles, in any case, cannot afford Michy’s permanent transfer due to his high cost, Goal reports.
This means that Batshuayi will return to Stamford Bridge in the coming summer and expect for the Blues’ decision regarding his future. The striker has a contract with Chelsea for another two years.
The 25-year-old Belgian’s prospects in Maurizio Sarri’s team is still vague, so Chelsea may try to sell Michy, bought from Marseille for 33 million pounds in 2016.
Borussia Dortmund and Everton are called among several clubs who may be interested in this situation.
