Barcelona confirmed interest in Matthijs de Ligt

The Catalans can get another one Ajax performer in the summer.

Barcelona’s pesident Josep Bartomeu has confirmed that his club is interested in the 19-year-old defender of Ajax, Matthijs de Ligt.

“We’ve been following de Ligt for a while. It’s true that we like him, but Barcelona have other important players in the team.

“We’ll be looking more and more specifically since March or April. We’re happy to watch and admire his game, but there’s nothing at the moment,” Bartomeu said.

Earlier, another Ajax’s player, midfielder Frenkie de Jong,signed a contract with the Catalans. Barcelona paid 75 million euros for the performer.
