Barcelona can return for Willian

Barcelona are thinking about returning for Chelsea’s winger Willian, who is approaching the final 12 months of his contract.

The Catalan club had a long-standing interest in Willian, for who they offered 55 million pounds last summer. In January, Barca were ready to exchange the 30-year-old Brazilian for Malcom with a surcharge on their part, but Chelsea refused both times.

According to The Telegraph, Barcelona can make another offer for Willian after the end of this season, but much more modest, given the age of the player and the remaining period of the contract.

Like any other team-mate who has reached the 30 years milestone, Willian can count only for additional 12 months under the contract at Chelsea. The long-term cooperation outside of Stamford Bridge may force Willian to leave the London club.

The situation is also complicated with the transfer ban until the end of January 2020, which became a piece of really bad news for Chelsea.
