Arsenal are thinking about parting with Mesut Ozil in January and will be ready to release the midfielder for £25 million only.

Recall, Ozil missed all the last five matches of his club due to a back injury. That period showed that Mesut wasn’t indispensable for the head coach, Unai Emery, and the team coped well without its playmaker.

Moreover, now the Germany national team former player looks like a burden for the Gunners. Ozil hardly fits into the style that Emery puts in the team, demanding full dedication from the players with the ball and without it.

In addition, the 30-year-old midfielder’s salary exerts a greater burden on Arsenal’s payroll, receiving £350 thousand a week under the contract signed in February.

According to the Daily Mail, the story that surfaced this week with a party, during which seven players of the Gunners, including Ozil, indulged in “laughing gas” and alcohol became the last straw for Arsenal leadership.

The club bosses are furious at such an unprofessional behavior of their highest-paid player, and they are now ready to consider offers from other clubs about Mesut at a reduced price.

It is reported that Inter are one of Ozil’s potential buyers. Negotiations between the representatives of the German and Serie A club can start as early as next week.
