Anthony Martial’s future at United has come into question again
Forward Anthony Martial can become one of the first victims of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s regime at Manchester United.
Solskjaer managed to shake up the whole team and its individual players, including Martial, after he led the Red Devils in December.
In late January, Anthony even concluded a new contract with the club. According to the Daily Mail, Solskjaer is upset not with Martial’s deteriorating game, but with his attitude.
According to the publication, Solskjaer literally tore his player at the end of last month, when Anthony, in a demonstratively sluggish manner, began to warm up before the EPL match against Chelsea, being named only among the Blues’ substitutes.
It was precisely because of Martial’s bad behavior during the warm-up that Solskjaer released Alexis Sanchez in the 2nd half of that game. That was the reason why the 23-year-old Frenchman didn’t get into the team’s composition for Saturday’s fight against Huddersfield.
Solskjaer and his right hand, Mike Phelan, who may soon become United’s technical director, are so frustrated by Martial that they are now ready to listen to transfer propositions from other clubs, The Sun adds to the material of its colleagues.
The problem with Martial has arisen in a very inappropriate time for the Devils, who already had enough headaches. The issue with the future of David De Gea, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku is very pressing for the club.
