Susanna Dinnage, the president of Animal Planet, refused to become CEO of the English Premier League, despite the previous agreement. That was reported by the official site of the Premier League.

Dinnage was scheduled to take over as the head of the Premier League in early 2019. In this position, she was to replace Richard Scudamore, who had been occupying the post since 1999. Dinnage was supposed to be the first woman to lead the Premier League. Her candidacy was chosen from five options and approved by the leadership of the clubs that participate in the Premier League.

Susanna announced her decision to the Nominations Committee. As a result, the Premier League began searching for a new leader and negotiating with the candidates.
