Ancelotti: I was close to returning to Milan twice

Napoli head coach Carlo Ancelotti confessed that he could return to Milan twice, but he had to refuse.

According to Carlo, Adriano Galliani came to negotiate with him when he left Real Madrid in the summer of 2015, but the specialist was forced to refuse the proposal due to problems with the back.

Then again, there was a conversation between him and Marco Fassone after Ancelotti left Bayern Munich in 2017. And the Italian coach refused his former team’s proposal once again at that time.

Ancelotti worked with AC Milan from 2001 to 2009. At the head of the Rossoneri, Carlo managed to win Serie A, the Italian Cup, the Italian Super Cup, the Club World Cup, as well as the Champions League twice and the European Super Cup.

Ancelotti led Napoli last summer, and after the 17th round, his team is occupying second place, seven points behind Juventus.
