Alisson has already repeated De Gea’s best season in England

The recent 2-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday became the 18th clean sheet for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson in the current season. He has already repeated the best achievement of David De Gea for this indicator, though the Spaniard managed to do for a longer period.

De Gea is considered to be one of the Premier League greatest goalkeepers in recent years. David has been defending the Red Devils’ goal since 2011. However, 18 clean sheets are the maximum he managed to achieve in one EPL season.

Joe Hart showed the same figure – 18 clean sheets – when he played for Manchester City.

Alisson won’t achieve the all-time record – 24 clean-sheets of Peter Cech during his performances at Chelsea – but he still can occupy second place, ahead of former Liverpool goalkeeper José Reina (20).
