Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez asked head coach Jose Mourinho and flew away to improve his health in Chile.

Sanchez has been showing an inexpressive game since his move to the Red Devils from Arsenal in January. In this season, the Chilean is struggling from problems with health and fitness shape.

At the moment, Alexis is out with damage to the back of the thigh, which he received during United’s training last week. It is estimated that the 29-year-old will get well within six weeks.

As it became known to The Independent, Sanchez received permission from Mourinho to fly to Chile. Alexis landed in Santiago on Tuesday and his recovery will take place at the location of the national team.

In this way, Sanchez will be able to celebrate Christmas with his family and get a little distracted from the nightmare that his career has become at United. According to rumors, Alexis is deeply unhappy in Manchester and is eager to leave the club in January.
