Aguero can repeat Shearer’s record

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero can match legendary Alan Shearer in the number of hat-tricks in the Premier League.

The forward has 10 hat-tricks in the Premier League so far. If the striker scores three goals in the league’s 26th round match against Chelsea, he will become equal to Alan Shearer’s number of hat-tricks.

The Premier League’s record-holder managed to kick 11 Premier League hat-tricks, for Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.

However, Shearer has another record: the number of hat-tricks in one season – 5 – set in the 1995/1996 season.

It is worth noting that Aguero is the only player in the Premier League history, who was able to make 10 hat-tricks, playing for one team.
