AC Milan will buyout Higuain and Bakayoko only if they get into Champions League
Milan must get into the Champions League to afford the buyout of Chelsea’s midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko and Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Milan’s director, Paolo Maldini, described the only condition under which Rossoneri would be able to buy Bakayoko and Gonzalo.
The club’s legend admitted that he and the club bosses were absolutely confident that the team would succeed in taking a place in Serie A’s Top-4.
It was difficult in December, as the team suffered from an epidemic of injuries. Nevertheless, the players and Gattuso coped with the pressure.
According to Maldini, the team must change its attitude towards the games. There should be no thoughts about 6th place. The task for the season is to get into the Champions League zone. Only then the club can afford to buyout Gonzalo and Bakayoko.
It should be noted that the purchase of Bakayoko will cost Milan €35 million, and the buyout option for Higuain amounts to €36 million.
